Pocket FM Converts AI Output Into Real Revenue
Pocket FM said its annualized revenue run rate doubled to $500 million, with AI powering 93% of its audio catalog and 99% of new content. The company says AI has made production roughly 80 times cheaper and helped it reach 250 million listeners in more than 20 countries.
This is a sharper AI media case because the numbers tie output to retention and payments, not just content volume. Pocket FM is using synthetic production to flood supply while keeping users paying for episodes. The strategic question is whether cheaper creation deepens the moat or makes attention even more fragile.
