Scottish materials firm raises 26.5 million euros to leave the lab behind
iGii, a Stirling-based advanced materials company founded in 2016, announced €26.49 million (£22.7 million) in new funding in September 2026. The package combines a €13.65 million (£11.7 million) Series B led by the Scottish National Investment Bank, with PXN Ventures and Archangels, plus €12.84 million (£11 million) from Scottish Enterprise, to commercialise its carbon nanomaterial Gii.
Chief executive Jean-Christophe Granier frames the money as the end of a proving phase rather than another research cycle, with a stated window of 12 to 24 months to convert manufacturer relationships into long-term supply agreements. The headcount plan is equally explicit: 55 Integrators today, 17 of them PhDs, rising to nearly 70 by year end. The capital arrives attached to an outcome, not an appetite.
