Lyon cyber firm raises €16 million on a bet placed in 2018

Hackuity, a Lyon-based AI-powered Vulnerability Operations Center, raised €16 million ($19 million) led by Forgepoint Capital International, with existing investors Bright Pixel, Bpifrance and Seventure Partners joining, taking total funding to €32 million ($38 million). Founded in 2018, the company serves more than 6,000 users, protects over 2 million assets and manages 1 billion findings from more than 130 security tools.

CEO and co-founder Patrick Ragaru framed the round as confirmation of an early conviction rather than a reaction to current alarm: that vulnerability volume would outrun human capacity. The market now shows 350,000 known Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures, up 20% year on year, and Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview flagged over 10,000 high or critical flaws in under two months, 99% unpatched. The build preceded the noise.
