Munich founders raise €5.5 million to watch Europe's unwatched infrastructure

Arcos, a Munich-based civil security company founded by Louis Wübben and Moritz Steigerwald, closed a €5.5 million Seed round led by High-Tech Gründerfonds, with Bayern Kapital, Pact, Haufe, Robin Capital and strategic business angels participating. The company launched publicly on 18 September 2026, one year after it was started, and builds and operates control centre infrastructure for power, transport, water and data sites.

The money has a named end point rather than an open shelf: growing the team in Germany, extending the platform, entering the critical infrastructure market and then further European markets. Steigerwald and Wübben also fixed an operating rule before the capital arrived, keeping control centre, software and process in the same hands, so that each new sensor improves the system instead of complicating it.
