Metycle Raises €131.7 Million In Debt To Finance Scrap Metal Flows
Metycle, a Cologne-based supplier of secondary copper and aluminium founded in 2022 by Rafael Suchan and Sebastian Brenner, has secured a €131.7 million ($150 million) credit facility from Rivonia Road Capital, a California-headquartered asset-backed lender. The company had previously raised €14 million in Series A funding in February 2025 and €4.7 million in Seed funding announced in December 2023.
The size of the facility, roughly nine times the Series A, signals a company financing physical material rather than headcount: Metycle says it traded more than €103 million ($120 million) of secondary metals over the past twelve months, a rise of 150% on the prior year, with staff in 15 countries. Debt against inventory serves a stated end point, making secondary supply behave like a specified industrial raw material.
