Naples engineers take first outside capital after six years building alone
Clastix, a Naples-based infrastructure software company founded in 2020 by Adriano Pezzuto and Dario Tranchitella, has raised €2.9 million in a Seed round, its first external funding. CDP Venture Capital Sgr led, with Mistral and Vertis SGR participating through Vertis Venture 6 Digital Sud, partially financed by the European Union's Next-Generation EU programme. Customers already include Fastweb, NVIDIA and Mistral.
The money arrives with a stated endpoint rather than a general mandate. Chief executive Adriano Pezzuto framed the raise around expanding research and development for AI-scale workloads and entering new markets, while the company plans to grow headcount over three years and keep Kamaji, its open-source Hosted Control Plane engine, free under the Apache 2.0 licence.
