Finnish sofa bed maker turns shipping savings into a two million euro round
KHOY Company, a Helsinki-based direct-to-consumer furniture business, has raised 2 million euros in growth funding led by Virta Equity, with Innovestor and angel investors participating. Founded in 2022 by Visa Friström, András Kelemen and Jukka Salmikukka, the company sells vacuum-packed sofa beds online and posted 4.3 million euros in revenue in 2025, a thirteenfold rise on the prior year.
The figure the founders keep pointing at is not the revenue but the cost that never leaves the business: vacuum-packing, the company says, can cut delivery costs by as much as 95 percent against conventional furniture logistics. That retained margin funded profitable growth of 166 percent year-on-year before outside capital arrived, and now pays for expansion across the European Union, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
