Zolli Candy founder Alina Morse calls the balance between school and business a hoax

Alina Morse, founder of Zolli Candy, calls entrepreneurial balance a hoax and says she answers the company's 1-800 hotline even at midnight. In 2018, at thirteen, Morse became the youngest founder to appear on the cover of Entrepreneur Magazine. She is now a senior at Michigan State University and runs Zolli alongside its 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Million Smiles Initiative.

Zolli Candy's record shows expansion through Whole Foods, Walmart and Amazon before its founder turned fourteen. That record leaves out her weekends. Morse describes working before and after school, giving weekends to media, travel and retailers, and having a part of her mind that never switches off. When she graduates she loses the student role, and her stated plan is to fill that time with more work, not rest.
