Dealer software startup turns its early agentic bet into a twenty-seven million dollar round

Flai, a startup selling AI software to car dealerships, announced on October 6, 2026 a twenty-seven million dollar Series A round led by Base10 Partners. By then its AI was booking fifty thousand appointments per month. Chief executive Ari Polakof said revenue grew twentyfold in one year. More than ten of the top fifty dealer groups are now customers, and the team has grown from three people to about forty.

Ari Polakof chose the goal before the results existed. When Flai was three people selling software to handle dealer calls, emails and texts, he was already building toward AI agents that would run the whole customer relationship. Each new client still starts with inbound service calls and then expands. Polakof argues that close focus on one industry is what protects Flai from general tools such as Meta's Muse.
