NEURA Robotics puts its 1.2 billion euro raise behind an in-house robot brain

NEURA Robotics is spending money from a Series C of up to 1.2 billion euros, announced in June 2026, on Neuron AI. The foundation model, launched in October 2026, combines 3D vision, touch, audio, robot state and language with memory. The company is based in Metzingen, Germany. It was founded in 2019, is led by chief executive David Reger, and raised a 120 million euro Series B in 2025.

The launch reads as capital aimed at a stated end point rather than at the loudest trend. David Reger describes the goal as building the brain of the physical world. NEURA Robotics trains the model in-house across five of its own robot designs and uses data partnerships with Schaeffler and Bosch. Other European robotics startups raised about 414.2 million euros combined in 2026, well below NEURA's single round.
