An investor's own trophies become the showcase for a luxury anti-counterfeit chip
Veritas has taken its anti-counterfeit chip beyond garments to jewelry, trophies and glass fragrance bottles. Luci Holland, a former Tesla technical product manager, founded the company. Its second-version chip works on metal and can be scanned through glass. Veritas has raised 1.75 million dollars in pre-seed funding, led by Seven Seven Six, the venture firm of Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
The most visible showcase came from someone who already owns part of the company. In October 2026, Veritas announced that all eighteen championship crowns of ATHLOS will carry its chips. ATHLOS is the women's track-and-field competition founded by Alexis Ohanian, who is also an investor in Veritas. The startup gets a public stage, but it remains unclear how much demand exists beyond the circle that funded it.
