Copenhagen startup Plinto raises 2.9 million euros to stop finance errors before payment

Plinto, a startup based in Copenhagen, has raised 2.9 million euros in pre-Seed funding. People Ventures and Emblem led the round. Plinto builds AI agents that find, investigate and correct errors in company finances. Nermina Suljevic, Jakob Nielsen and Sebastian Rehnby, all formerly of Peakon, founded it in early 2025. The company says one customer found around 430 deviations per month in a single part of its business.

Plinto is not selling new revenue. It is selling a stop to leakage: incorrect prices, duplicate invoices and mismatched deliveries that controllers miss between spot checks and month-end reconciliations. Chief executive Nermina Suljevic says many customers run on low margins and often find such errors only after the money has been paid. For these firms, each wrongful payment stopped before it leaves goes straight to the bottom line.
