After Losing Half Its Market, a Fintech Consultancy Revisits Its Plan Monthly

A legal consulting firm that advises fintechs on licensing now reviews its metrics and assumptions every month after a geopolitical shift erased half its market overnight. Its leader, writing in Entrepreneur on 27 October 2026, keeps a five-year vision and an annual plan, runs a deeper review every three to four months, and cites KPMG's 2025 Global CEO Outlook: seventy-two percent of chief executives had adjusted growth strategies.

The leader's test is whether the same decision would be made today: if not, a market entry can be postponed, narrowed or moved to another jurisdiction while the goal stays fixed. With the Atlantic Council counting digital currencies legal in forty-five countries, partially banned in twenty and generally banned in ten, the plan exists to serve the objective, not the credibility of having announced it.
